Worth the wait. Highly highly (HIGHLY) recommend their scallops and clams. Absolute perfection! Every bite is perfection. If you have not experienced - it is a must taste. CHEERS
I'm up here visiting from Southeast Texas and reast about the famous clams and chips and the lobster rolls at this restaurant. Went there today for lunch and loved the food. I've never had clams and chips before but they were very, very delicious. The lobster roll was quite good.
If you are going to have seafood somewhere, this is the spot you want to have it at. The fried claws are great, the scallops are great, good staff, quick service. Awesome seating areas including by the water. Some of the best value and quality seafood in the area.
Perfect introduction to my first time in New Brunswick. It was a long road trip from out west. And the first order of business was the lobster roll .. absolutely delicious. We also had a fish sandwich was also incredibly well cooked seasoned and prepared and my children really enjoyed their fish and chips. This is a good location with very friendly and professional staff they were happy to showcase everything the area has to offer and more. Definitely a gem to the community. There's plenty of free parking and this restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible if you need to know. They have many picnic tables and a patio outside as well..
This place has been around for decades. I've been going there at least once a year since my childhood. The fried clams are out of this world and the service is great. So if you're looking for some of the best take-out seafood around then head on over to Chez Leo. You'll thank yourself.
The service was great, a down home east cost feel from when you first arrive, the restaurant sits right on the water, the dinning room is simple but lots of natural lighting and great clean atmosphere. The food! The batter on the deep fried clams was perfect! It was nice light crispy and not overly greasy, it really added to the flavour of the clams! The portions are fair based on the price. The lobster roll was perfect, the bun toasted outside soft inside, great texture, the lobster was done perfectly not to much mayo to take away from the lobster taste but enough to really bring the whole role together in a perfect harmony. I grew up on the east coast moved to Alberta and came back for a visit, this place check off every box I was dreaming about for the last 15 years!
Best fried clams we had to come back the next day for more! We got the seafood platter. That was good but the star of the show was the fried clams and fries platter. My son loved the fresh cooked fish and my wife really enjoyed the fried scallops in addition to the clams. Great family run resto. See you guys next time we drive through!
We were craving for more lobster rolls and found it in the town of Shediac that also features the Giant Lobster! The lobster roll here featured relatively fresh lobster stuffed into a small toasted bun. At 14.75 before fries, it’s a great deal nowadays. We also followed the local’s advice and ordered the fried clams and fried scallops as well. The clams were fluffy and crisp, and the fried scallop was plump & fresh. They’re actually known for their award winning clams and that’s no surprise to me. We also had their kids meal under 5. The owner here seemed quite friendly chatting with regular customers and even waiving as we left the establishment. It’s neat that this town is bilingual mostly French and we noticed the proud Acadian flag inside.
